Welsh cider and perry producers have put poor weather behind them to dominate the top spots at this year’s Campaign for Real Ale (Camra) UK championships.
Springfield in Monmouthshire won the cider gold medal despite what it called an “awful” summer season for growers.
CJ’s, a few miles away in Usk, won silver for its cider.
In the perry section, a silver went to Gwynt y Ddraig from Vale of Glamorgan.
A bronze perry medal was awarded to Raglan Cider Mill in Monmouthshire.
