Pembrokeshire food park could create ‘1,000 jobs’

Posted on November 22, 2016 by Welsh Food.

Plans for a proposed new one million square feet food park, at Withybush Industrial Estate in Pembrokeshire have been announced, which developers claim could create up to 1,000 jobs.

The new Pembrokeshire food park has been planned to accommodate large-scale food producers, as well as specialist outlets and start-up businesses, and would provide a considerable boost for the local agricultural sector and food and drink industry, as well as creating up to 1,000 jobs.

Keith Lewis, deputy leader of Pembrokeshire council, said it was “very exciting” and he was “hopeful” of support from the Welsh Government.
